Kids' Hairstyles Even Clumsy Moms Can Do

Many parents tell me they want to style their child's hair cutely, but it's so silky smooth that they **can't tie it up** or they **don't know what to do**.
So, this time, I'll introduce some easy hair arrangements **for children**!

First, preparation

Your child's hair is so silky smooth that it keeps falling out. And when they come home, it's a tangled mess!
If this sounds familiar, I recommend applying **oil** in the morning. I personally use **Oshima Tsubaki oil**, but any oil will do. If it's a natural ingredient, it won't be sticky and is safe for children.

Start by applying it to the ends of the hair, then thoroughly work it into the hair around the front that tends to fall out. This alone will make it **easier to manage, and it should also reduce the tangles** when they come home!

Also, remember to **brush their hair** in the morning and evening. In my house, my daughter also enjoys brushing her hair with a paddle brush!

Basic ponytail

Just like with moms, tying your child's hair at the **line of their nose and ears** makes them look very **smart**. On holidays, simply adding a scrunchie can dress up their look!

Large half-up bun

For children with small heads, a **large, loose bun** is adorable. When pairing with a scrunchie, making the bun as big as the accessory creates a very cute balance.

Simply take a section of hair from behind the ears and loosely tie it into a bun. It's okay if it's a bit messy; if you've applied oil, it will just add to the nuance!

Braid hairstyle

Add a little bit of braiding

Children's braided hairstyles tend to become messy easily. So, just a little bit, even **two sections**, is enough. Try braiding it.
This alone will make a huge difference in how long the hairstyle lasts.

Braiding just the bangs, or a **half-braid** on one side, is also very effective. Even if braiding is difficult, a half-braid that only picks up hair from the face side might be something even beginners can try. Please give it a shot!

Use snap clips to hold stray hairs

If snap clips are an option, they're the easiest choice. Clipping it right above the outer corner of the eyebrow, at the temple, creates a good balance.

For older elementary school children, a regular braid might be fine. Some children might even be able to do it themselves.

Rabbit accessories on just one side

The cute, child-like rabbit style. Adding accessories to both sides makes it look like an idol. While this is also cute, putting it on just one side immediately adds a fashionable touch!

Top bun

The classic adorable **top bun**. Many people find it difficult to lift the hair, but try holding the hair section up and **inserting the brush horizontally into the back of the head, then lifting it up**. If you use the brush properly, you should be able to lift it all the way up.

 

Even little ones, for whom styling is difficult

Simply tie it with a small hair elastic and clip it. If you pull the bangs up to the top and secure them so they're out of their face, surprisingly, little ones **can't reach them and are less likely to notice**. Even children who "take them off right away" might keep them in all day if you quickly tie them up from behind during a meal.
