Highly recommended night care for chapped-free lips

Hello!

This is Chiko, a beauty fanatic, with her beauty talk. I live a beauty-filled life by consistently incorporating easy beauty routines that take just a little extra effort every day.

Lips free from dryness

As you might expect, I have very dry skin and can't go a day without lip balm. But even for me, there's a nighttime lip care routine that makes lip balm unnecessary during the day.

It's a simple, no-fuss routine – just apply before bed. It's a beloved item I've introduced many times before, but now that it has some competition, I'd like to introduce both of them together!

VECUA "Honey Melty Conque"

It's been how many years now! This is an item I've been captivated by since the day I first encountered it. As its name suggests, it has a thick, heavy texture, just like concentrated honey.

This packaging was actually renewed several years ago, changing to a flatter, Nivea-tin-like shape, just a bit smaller. However, I haven't been able to adapt to the new shape, so I've been stocking up on dead stock whenever I find it...

I use a spatula to scoop out a tiny amount, about the size of a grain of sticky rice.

When applied directly to the lips, even the driest lips will be thoroughly moisturized by the next morning.

It's on the thicker side so it can be a bit sticky, but not so much that it's uncomfortable to sleep with. It offers a great sense of stability and reassurance.

LANEIGE "Lip Sleeping Mask"

This is a sleeping mask from the Korean cosmetic brand LANEIGE.

I bought it because it was popular and affordable, and that was it. First, the packaging and spatula are just too cute! I couldn't help but gasp.

Even the cream matches the color. It's just so cute and lifts my spirits every time I see it or apply it.

Its effectiveness is also excellent. I take about a grain of rice-sized amount with the spatula. It feels like it adheres snugly to cover my lips.

The next morning, I was greeted by plump and moisturized lips.

Which do I recommend?

I was devoted to VECUA's "Honey Melty Conque," but then I discovered LANEIGE's "Lip Sleeping Mask."

Initially, I felt that LANEIGE didn't last as long. However, as I continued to use it, my lips themselves seemed to become more moisturized, and despite the drying season deepening, my lips felt more hydrated. I'm convinced that the mask's adhesive quality is allowing it to penetrate deeply!

VECUA offers reliable, strong sealing power. It costs around 3000 yen.

LANEIGE provides a soft, plump feeling. It costs around 1200 yen.

Perhaps LANEIGE, which is easy to try, cute, and definitely effective, wins out. Switching from an item I've used for years—that's a big deal!

Reliable LANEIGE Mask Effect

LANEIGE's facial sleeping masks are also famous. I used their Cica Night Cream for skin irritation during the pandemic, and true to LANEIGE quality, its texture adhered perfectly to my skin and absorbed well.

When applied to the skin, it feels incredibly comfortable without being sticky. I highly recommend you try it!

Daytime Lip Care

DHC "Medicated Lip Cream"

I always keep one in my pouch, one on my desk, and one in the kitchen. This is my absolute top recommendation for daytime lip care that prevents dryness and deeply moisturizes.

It's not cute and has no fragrance, but when it comes to moisture, it's unparalleled!

There's also a series with UV protection, but unfortunately, that one was completely different. The beige type is specialized for moisture!

Say Goodbye to Peeling, Chapped Lips

Since I discovered "Honey Melty Conque" several years ago, I haven't experienced any peeling lips at all. If you're concerned about or struggling with dry lips, please give it a try!

By the way, my lip masks were stored in this. It's also excellent for keeping spatulas from getting lost.
