This year, the dazzling sunlight has been pouring down since spring, rather than just being pleasant. It makes me want to tighten up my sun protection regimen early.
The other day, I introduced the ultimate UV protector! I'm satisfied with it, considering the price. It works well as both a beauty cream and a sunscreen cream.
RMK UV Face Protector
Today, I'd like to introduce my absolute favorite UV protector from RMK. It's often out of stock, forcing me to try other brands, but I always come back to it because I love it so much.
I'll tell you what makes it so wonderful.
1. Thin application that adheres perfectly
I adore RMK's sheer base makeup. A UV protector that doesn't break down when used underneath is convincing enough. It doesn't just spread well; the gel cream blends into the skin like water. Honestly, I was so used to this UV protector that Albion's "spreads well" claim for their top-tier UV didn't impress me much.
2. Doesn't feel like sunscreen
It has absolutely none of that typical, slightly stiff, sticky sunscreen feel or the unique scent. It's so light, you wouldn't think it's SPF50, and you can use it generously. It doesn't get shiny either; it's truly wonderful.
3. Reasonably priced for daily generous use
I can almost hear RMK's message: "We want you to use UV protection diligently all year round!" The redesigned packaging, changed when it was renewed to SPF50, also encourages generous use. The price is also reasonable: 3,000 yen for 50g.
Renewed this Spring
UV Face Protector Advanced
Surprisingly, my beloved UV protector has been renewed. It's now divided into SPF30 Lucent and SPF50 Advanced. The Lucent version is lighter and more like a base. However, I prefer to use a separate base and believe that UV protection should be thorough, so I'm skipping the Lucent. I strongly recommend the Advanced version. This is the successor to the previous face protector. The packaging has also become slimmer and more stylish! This look is much cooler (it used to be even slimmer and silver, which was very cool). The price is also 3,500 yen for 60g. It's a slight increase, but I think it's reasonable!
Keep UV Protection at the Entrance
A pump-type sunscreen is convenient to keep by the entrance. Even if you're just stepping out briefly, always apply it to exposed areas. For daily use, a non-sticky gel type is recommended. I also keep a hair UV spray by the entrance. If you color your hair, it's a major cause of fading, discoloration, and damage. A quick spray before going out can prevent this, so I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Before Whitening, Hydrate and Use UV!
This is starting to sound like a beauty seminar... Before diligently trying to whiten your skin or remove spots, hydrate and use UV! This is a golden rule! Knowing the texture of Steam Cream, I can already imagine how good it will be!
