These shoe-shaped pouches are made from a slightly special material, born in Kinko Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, a town of sea and sky.
Petit pas means "little step" in French.
We’ve adorned special "fish leather" shoes with wonderfully cute Saki-ami flowers.
By transforming "shoes," which are worn to move forward, into a pouch that can be carried every day, we wanted to inject playfulness and encouragement into daily life.
Kinko Town is a place that has lived with the sea.
These pouches were born from the town's initiative to "give discarded items a new purpose."
With the feelings of the townspeople, which I've experienced during my two visits,
we've created a product that can be enjoyed beautifully and for a long time, rather than just for the sake of "the environment."
The expressive main body uses a special material called "fish leather."
This leather is made from the skin of yellowtail, a local specialty, which is tanned and dyed,
and then revived as a material "to be used" once again.
It's light, durable, and each piece has a unique pattern, a one-of-a-kind creation by nature.
This is a collaboration between yellowtail leather and Saki-ami flowers.
We've combined Saki-ami flowers crafted as if weaving air,
with luxurious Saki-ami flowers finished with couture embroidery beadwork on Liberty print.
The unique fluctuations and three-dimensionality of handwork
allow stories to bloom within this small pouch.
For the part that touches the sole of the foot, we deliberately used denim fabric.
This adds a sense of everyday comfort amidst the softness.

◎ Organza Saki-ami
We tear organza fabric and weave it softly with plenty of air. Tearing the soft fabric creates firmness. By meticulously weaving each strand of this fabric, we create a fluffy volume.
◎ Saki-ami looks delicate but is very durable.
Because Saki-ami is tightly woven, it won't lose its shape or unravel even if it's jostled in a crowd. Even if it gets wet in unfortunate weather, it remains fluffy.

Material Philosophy
Fluffy Saki-ami is born from organza. Organza is a thin, light, crisp, and stiff plain weave fabric. Because it transmits light, it has a unique soft atmosphere while exuding an elegant transparency, and is characterized by a distinctive luster and elasticity. After tearing various fabrics, chiko uses polyester organza, which is strong and stable in quality.

Care Instructions for Saki-ami products
Since the fabric is torn during production, there may be some fuzziness. Fuzz may come off, but as you use it, the fibers will settle and become less likely to fall off, so please enjoy its texture. If it gets dirty, please hand wash it gently. If you let it air dry, its volume will return to normal!
